Bluemont Elementary School PTO is a vital part of your child's school. Working together with the teachers and staff of the school, the PTO has helped enhance your child's learning environment by providing funding for technology, landscaping, an announcement board, cultural events, student recognition, teacher support, and much more.
The PTO is able to provide these benefits due to the combined efforts of family members like you. To be a part of this vital group, you have two options. You can choose to be a volunteer or a member. As a volunteer, you are given the opportunity to help your child's school in the areas you enjoy the most. As a member, you also have the privilege of voting at PTO meetings and the opportunity to be a committee chair or board member.
The PTO Needs YOU!
Thanks for considering if this could be a good fit for you!
The success of our school and the offerings for our student/families is dependent on the involvement of parents like yourselves through out PTO. In the past, PTO has provided meals for teachers on conference days, supported teachers and classroom needs at the holidays and during Teacher Appreciation week. PTO paid for the landscaping in our building's front flowerbeds- they look amazing! They also funded All Kids Bike, provided birthday cupcakes for all student, funded field trips including STARBASE, funded our roller skating unit, scheduled Kona Ice on last day of school, fund fun assemblies, and supported other community outreach initiatives.
None of these amazing events would be possible without the involvement of our Bluemont parents so I want to personally invite you to participate in our PTO. We will meet typically one Monday per month at 6 PM in the library. Our upcoming meeting dates are noted below.
Thank you,
Mrs. Neitzel
